WINDSCREEN FROZEN ON THE INSIDE

Hi all im at a loss as to why my windscreen was froze on the inside this week all windows and doors where shut properly i have no sun roof no other windows had frost on them on the inside just the windscreen.

Has this happened to you or know why this is happening

Door seals have probably gone, they shrink slightly over time..

Thanks for replying I know the car is 9 years old only has 30k on the clock,my old mk4 was 16 years old never got frost inside the car very strange that the seals would shrink that much or is it thinner rubber than the mk4.

It freezes from excess moisture in air.
That could come from door seals, floor mats (never understood how they don't supply rubber mats in a country where it always rains), sunroof, etc. More seen in cars that are driven only short distance.

Try heating car up well on long drive and turn heat up..... then open the windows (on a dry day obviously). Try using dehumidifiers etc.... or cat litter if you're cheap.

Check under your passenger footwell mat for dampness. May be a poorly fitted cabin filter behind the glovebox letting water in from the Plenum chamber.

Hi well i checked all the carpets all nice and dry, but what i did notice on the passenger front door seal right at the bottom of the door where the seal ends are supposed to meet was about a 6mm gap, so going to check buddy's at work to see if his seals are tight or have a gap
