Ess_Three the R lights are the same units just with black surrounds so every thing will be interchangeable.

Cheers Darren,

The next question is:
Can you buy the housings on their own?
The prices for this thread will be for housings, ballasts, elements etc...
To go Xenon non-black to Xenon black, you'd only need the housings with the projector holder painted black as the rest is already fitted...but do VW sell the bare housings?

I's sure SteveP mentioned around £750 for the Xenon black lights...surely this isn't for a pair of bare plastic housings?

Mike: Are you going to go the Xenon route and join Kenny and myself?

Heavens above: That's very pricey.

Ess_Three: How about you giving me your housings FOC for old times sake! You won't need them once you get the smokey ones.
Ok, I'll be fair and negotiate.

I would love to, I am in NI and would have to fit them myself.
I did manage the rear camera without problems but looking at the self levelling kit installation on the previous link looks like a bridge to far.

The link I gave earlier to the guy on Ebay would be the easiest way without the self levellers, as the only thing extra you would need would be adapters for the connections at about £40. Like you I have the winter pack so have the washers.

Still not sure what to do..

I'll negotiate...
How about you send me the cost of the dark housings, and I'll send you mine?
