There seems to be two different problems here :-

1.  A rattle / clunking from the door lock area and

2.  A creaking from the doors / rubber / central pillar area

My car suffers from the 2nd and on some days it sounds quite bad (seems to be weather dependant)

I've tried all sorts of treatment to the door rubber and none of them have had any effect

I've also tried the pad fix (as shown a few posts above) but this has had no effect either

I'm thinking of a trip to the stealer now to get the door plates adjusted to tighten the door (as they seem to shut too a bit too easily, and even move very slightly when shut)

Has anyone else had the creaking completely cured ?  and what was the fix ?

Cheers

(1) Costant ticking noise on from the instrument binnacle. At first I thought it was the FM radio signal. But it is not. I can stop it by putting slight pressure along the bottom part. It's most annoying.
(2) Clonking centre armrest.

I suffer from this too. Doesn't massively bother me, but if your dealer manages to fix let me know the solution.

I need to pay my dealer a visit anyway to re-fit the rear diffuser which is coming away from the rear bumper on the left-hand side.

Had the car back now and I think the replacement door latch has helped (hope by saying this this wont put the "mockers" on it.

There is still a clunk sometimes but only when pulling away.  Will have a look at the striker plates as recommended :undecided:
3dr, Pearl Black, 18" Monzas, RCD 510, DSG, now delivered and rattling.
