Hi All,
first post. i have just ran the fault code and i received 12600.
Intake manifold runner control regulation,
i was wondering if i would need to replace the manifold or can i replace the motor.
the car is 2008 golf gti.

Checked out the ross-tech wiki?

yes i have checked out the ross-tech wiki page.
my question was that would i need to change to whole manifold or can i change the runner flap motor?
thanks

unfortunately you can't be sure from that single fault code, usually would flag an electrical error too if its just the motor at fault
check the link rod hasn't popped off and if you have vcds you can try running the basic settings for the runner flaps

hi, have managed to check the link rod and it hasn't popped off. i tried to do the basic setting for the motor when i click on it, the rod moves and hold its position then goes back but then i get a high pitch nose from the motor.

Managed to get the manifold runner flap motor replaced by the lovely guys at Midland VW. and the car seems more responsive and quick.
i would recommend contacting Midland VW for any advice as if i didn't i would of changed the whole manifold which would of been a lot of money and hassle too.
