Wheel Bearing
« on: 27 February 2013, 09:05 »
Hi,

I had my car in for its final service under warranty last week. They picked up an issue with the near side wheel bearing and said they would replace.I had not noticed and noises coming from the wheel.
 She has done 25000 miles.
It feels like the car is young to have this problem and wondered what you knowledgeable folks thought.
Thanks

Does seem quite soon but as it is a wear and tear item i suppose it could happen at any point.  IF it is being covered by warranty personally i wouldnt worry about it and let them get on with it

I've now had both of my fronts done.
Both under warranty. (One under extended warranty).

I thought it was my winter tyres making the noise until I changed back to summer recently.

Shouldn't really happen after 30 odd K but soon sorted...
