you may find some bargains too. Ebay prices will be over inflated due to the fact that the sellers know that people want them, hence why they are on ebay.

Right the first thing I guess is to show you the grill&badge.

Heres some pics of it primed, in process and finished:

Ok I also got the Gti Lights too, I like the smoked look. Was debating on making the crystal parts of the lexus lights black and then doing the same to new headlights and sides (that I would have purchased). Too much effort and probs wouldn't look as good as just simple smoked lights all round.

So here they are, oh and the bumper looks like that cause i started sanding it down and couldn't be arsed to finish. Will get it done soon, promise!

And for the fun, my sort of custom induction kit. They don't make one for a mk3 1.4 96 (at least not what i could find). So I got the individual parts and put them together:
-90 degree silicone reducing elbow; 51-76
-Apiro alloy pipe plus 135
-Apiro stainless steel filter
Also got a hose kit for oil breather pipe extension. Can use the rest of the kit to replace washer lines, etc whenever or to wrap wiring - engine styling.
Need to get jubilee clips/metal cable tie bracket things. Held on by cable ties atm! Also need to shorten oil breather pipe. Here a pic:

Well the stuff I'm planning on doing next is:
-interior lighting (dash and speedo LED's)
-smoked side indicators
-smoked front indicators and reflectors
-redo rear bumper; probs get one from scrap, so i can work on it and keep other one on car, then do that one and sell it!
-well if the rear bumper goes well, do front bumper.
-color code side door trims
-color code plastic strip above license plate, again if rear bumper looks good.
-color code other plastic bits??!?!
I'll stop, too much, take things one at a time!

But for the future, new license plates, sound system, ...

More to come......

Cheers all,

LL ;)

ok got a new bumper from scrap, gunna work on that when time is available. probs take me 2 weeks to sand it down that means!
also, ordered front and side genuine vw smoked indicators. more to pics to come.

Rear bumper - paint the entire bumper red, match the car and then the color code the side trims.
