Tesco insurance
« on: 25 May 2013, 12:16 »
I don't have car ins. of my own as I've been on motorbikes for 13 years so we're a one car family.

So my new purchase of a mk2 GTi sees me starting from scratch with zero No claims bonus. But the main family car, (my wife's) 58 plate Focus is on Tesco car insurance with me as a named driver.

Tesco run a scheme of named driver discount, so in situations like this the named driver can clock up some NCB for when thye're ready to take out a policy of there own.

So I called for a quote.... only to be told the car is too old! they only insure cars up to 25 yrs and I've just bought an '86.

But don't fear got a quote from Adrain Flux for £280 fully comp! pretty impressed with that!

We'll that is on a classic car policy with limited 5000 miles (which should be fine as I'll still be on the bike) and I'm nearly 40.
