MK3 Faults
« on: 06 February 2016, 10:57 »
Hi all,

Just wondering if i can get some help with a few basic faults and their remedies.
These are a handful of fault codes returned on a U281 tool, which ive looked up online (ross-tech). I'm assuming more detailed info would be available using vagcom but i dont have access. I dont mind biting the bullet and paying for a more in-depth diagnostic (if its worth it?) but thought i'd ask on here first.

00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation [oxygen sensor control]
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00537

I have no obvious symptoms that there is a fault (running rough), so not sure which of the suggested solutions to try, of which there are a few. The only two Im pretty sure i can rule out are air/vac leaks and low/empty fuel.

00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30 [battery power voltage supply terminal (terminal 3)]
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00668

Is this relay 30?
solutions include:
Check Fuse(s)  ----- all appear fine
Check/Repair Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module  ----- is the 'control module' the fuse box or the ECU?
Check Power Supply (Battery/Generator)   ----- is it likely a battery issue and worth trying an alternate battery?

01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01276

Lots of possible causes and solutions for this one!

Another fault code i have is o/s rear ABS sensor (00287). Would this cause a circuit fault and in turn generate the V64 fault? Good idea to first replace sensor and run diagnostic again before doing more investigating?

On ross-tech it says "Special Notes - Explicitly check the Fuse(s) near the Battery!"

The single fuse next to the battery is fine.

Any info or advise would be very much appreciated!

Clear codes, drive it, scan it again and make sure all these relate to its current condition

have done this mate, a couple of times. Also cleared all the codes following recent CPS replacement.
