Still shooting
« on: 08 October 2014, 15:59 »
It seems this section seems to have died off in recent month.

So in an attempt to bring it back to life, here's a few new photos from me:

Taken last week, 11 stitched images taken with the Canon 50mm f1.4 lens.

Multiple images stitched together, taken with a vintage 35mm f2.8 M42 lens.

I'm still shooting, just time is at a premium.

Picked up a Canon G16 recently, as I didn't want to take the 5D2 etc to Spain, as we were flying and not taking any hold baggage.

Had some good fun shooting stuff like a tiny geko that was rescued from the pool:

and this rather fabulous praying mantis who just happened to be on the terrace one morning:

Girona was very photogenic:

Most recently I had a pop at using it to create the lairy motion blur which I like.  Although the lens only goes to F8, it has an in-built ND Filter, which dropped the shutter speed from 1/100th to 1/20th and got me the results I wanted

It is way less tolerant of certain things than the 5D2, but that's hardly a surprise!

Despite the limitations, I've really enjoyed using it and it is very capable.  It's also been fun learning a new camera, too.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.
