Title: cam belt / camshaft ARL
Post by: pulsar on 13 January 2018, 10:46

hi all vw golf Mk4 enthusiasts what are peoples thoughts on replacing the cam belt religiously every 4 years if you only do less than 8 thousand miles a year i no they are our pride and joy and we don't have a crystal ball  but if money is tight can we push a extra year out of the belt i say this as mines due now yet the parts off the last change still looked like brand new my golf Mk4 is the tdi 150 arl remapped etc like most owned 8 years 110, miles  and still putting a smile on my face    ? ? ?

could any other ARL owners still using the original camshaft share there miles covered as we've all eared the chocolate cam story which does seem to be wrong oil used  i do mine every 6 months 504/507

thanks for looking and any thoughts posted
