a coilpack beginning to break down can be fine on idle then struggle under load. biggest drawback of aftermarket management right there.. limited onboard diagnostics. The ME7 ecu would have told you not only how many misfires per rotation there are but also which cylinder it's occuring on. If you want the car to be reliable it might be worth looking in to swapping back to factory management with an immobiliser defeat.

I think thats what im going to  need to look into.

I dont see the benifits of having the emmerald over a remaped standard.

Also ive noticed today i can hear a kind of ticking. Like a kind of relay type ticking

You sure it isn't the charcoal canister ticking? Because that's normal if it is.

If not then maybe a blocked tappet

Hate waiting for parts. especially when you pay for next day and nothing shows.

i have the coils just waiting on the radiator bits and more boost pipes. (i thought while it was off the road may aswell do some other bits that needed doing )

I have absolutely no idea whats going on with this lemon scented car

I've replaced coil packs I've checked all the vacuum pipes. I'm getting no smoke looked at all the wiring. cant Vag com it. as for stupid Emmerald im lost with what to do. only thing im thinking is doing a compression test. but surely the car would smoke... however it does smell rich now

To be honest I'm loosing the will and just about to smash it up with a hammer. (at least i would get some pleasure out of my short time ownership)

Dry compression test results

cylinder 1=105psi cylinder 2=105psi cylinder 3=95psi cylinder 4=100psi

It's probably a bit late now as  you've spent your money, but if I were you I would buy a cheap ebay vag com for around £10 and test it yourself

vag com i believe wont work with emmerald management.

i think i have a injector issue.. i ran can again and individually took wiring off for each.. 1 ran for 2sec then died so did 2/4
3 ran longer then did what the car did before and just died.

fingers crossed its injector

Well the report came back saying all 4 injectors are fine.

I now need to some how test the wiring to the injectors. (any ideas)

And the other thing i need some advice on. is when i brought the car i noticed the previous owner had a oxygen /lamda sensor fitted but it wasnt connected which i did.. and car still ran ok. but just thinking it was unplugged until it was remapped or something

Ive have no idea what to do.

Ive tested injectors = fine

tested coilpacks = fine

i now know no3 cyclinders 100% at fault. i can run car and unplug both coil and injector and car still runs (no change) but if i remove and of the others even just one.. can stalls instantly.

Is this a wiring issue?

could be wiring, but you can swap the injector and/or coilpack around to a different cylinder to see if the misfire goes with it to determine that. Compression test results look fairly low across the board to be honest on all 4 cylinders even for a dry test.
