engine rebuild, really?? didnt think it would go to that much lol ahh well i will do what i can afford for now cheers
that sounds promising that mate cheers for the info, may look into that. just wish me feckin boss would hurry up and let me know whats going on so i can go buy car lol
For £600 I have holset turbo for my next build cost me £500 new capable of over 500hp gt35 terrotry.

@gtimadmike that's just turbo, doesn't include oil line, water lines, turbo manifold, fuel injectors, engine rebuild, intake pipe, downpipe, larger MAF housing, intercooler and other supporting mods. Budget ~£600-1000 for the turbo manifold alone, £~400 for the fuel injector alone etc etc...
For your needs and budget, you might be able to pick up a used hybrid k03 for £500-600

The standard 1.8t engine will not be able to cope with 500bhp, this is why I suggest a hybrid k03 if all you want is ~250bhp and it will still be reliable provided it's maintained and mapped nicely.

Thanks! I'm probably going to do something to tidy up the compressor housing, probably polish it up. It's going to run fairly moderate boost so won't be shooting for big power, the car barely weighs over 1 ton anyway, I would like for it to be around 400bhp. I can achieve similar figures on a smaller frame turbo but I'm getting rather annoyed of how hot small turbos run when sustaining prolonged WOT. This setup should be perfect for track work.
