Right following on from my last topic with the erratic idle/loss of power etc
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=247350.0
the car is a 2003 Golf GTI AUQ 180 with an R-tech Stage 2 live custom remap
If I unplugged the maf the car ran alot smoother but just underpowered. so Ive just gone an brought a new maf from VW and it hasnt made a wanks worth of difference exactly as lumpy and boggy as before
SO Ive just scanned my car and I have the following fault code 01314 which wasnt there last time and I cant physically delete it :lipsrsealed:
Copied of Ross tech

01314 - Engine Control Module: No Communications

Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) Usually Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 125+ show the current Communication Status
01314 - Engine Control Module: Check DTC Memory
Possible Causes
Fault(s) stored in Engine Control Module
Possible Solutions
Check Engine Control Module for Fault Codes
Special Notes

had the r tech remap from arounf august last year and has been no.troublw since then. This problem.occured when we had all tge.snow and.rain when abs and traction control were constany ki,king in!?
-
Im not an expert but it dwfo sounds like there is something wrong with the ecu, call r-tech and have them take a look, mught be garanteed :)
-
have you physically looked at the ECU to see if it 'looks ok' and no wires damaged/wet
be VERY careful when you take the scuttle off because people have smashed/cracked their windscreen trying to get to the ECU
