Just bought a Golf GT Tdi 130

Well not exactly just bought, picked it up on Tuesday. All I can say so far is brilliant. The car has done 78k now and still drives perfectly. Feels very nice to drive, I have done 420 miles so far and still have more than a quarter of a tank left. Very pleased with the economy!!

Cleaned the car today to look for any scratches etc that I missed when I bought it and apart from the odd stone chip it is in very good condition. One thing that was there when I bought it was a nice crack in the back of the passenger wing mirror (I knocked £500 off the price for this and tax so it is ok).

So I can now say I am a true member as I now have a golf 

Just one quick question really is how much would it be to fix the wing mirror. It isn't annoying me too much but  just to make it perfect what price would I be looking at? Could I do it myself?

you're best bet might be going to a scrappy and finding a decent one then pay a couple of quid to get it sprayed the same colour.  might be cheaper than the stealers 

and great choice of car  will easily beat VW's top speed claim......

Or get a nice set of Audi "S" mirror covers - the aluminium ones

are they the same size and shape as the Golf one's then? 

i know they look similar but wasn't aware if they were the same shape.....
