what different parts do you use at the back then? the whole rear beam? and how does all this affect the camber?

nah i got some spacers made up that fit behind the stub axle and you can buy the appropriate bolts from ford, think they are for a cosworth something or other but they are a bit longer and are a higher tensile rating. i found the info on club gti.

the camber at the back is unaffected but at the front the least negative camber you can have is approx -1.25 degrees! which suits me fine. im sure with a bit of filing on the top strut bolt hole and using those thinner bolts you could get closer to original camber.

ITS ALIVE!!!!

im well happy, it fired up straight away and after a quick setup it idles nicely! I was sure nothing would work properly but the only problem i have is the brake light is permanently on  oh and i snapped the speedo drive where it goes into the back of the clocks  :embarassed:

Joe you can see the new position of the wheels in that pic, they are 7x15's and fill the arches perfectly, just about sit inside

The rear beam still needs changing and i need to put the front of the car back together, plug in all the front lights, put the fusebox back and put the dash back together, then bleed the brakes and do the tracking. The target is to drive it tomorrow night
