Title: GTI Stock Exhaust
Post by: 024matt on 19 June 2013, 10:52
Morning all

I am just asking a simple question really. I'm looking to sell on my stock exhaust from the GTI that has been replaced by a Milltek. But I do not know what sort of value I should be looking to achieve...the car had only done about 4000 miles when the exhaust was removed!

Thanks to anyone who can help on this topic

personally id' keep it as when you come to sell you can return to stock and sell the milli, that said useful if someone ones to put the back box on a GTI and get a GTI diffuser

It's worth whatever someone will pay.
But an original catback in good condition I'd think £150
Front pipe with cats about £100
That's what I'd be willing to pay as let's face it anymore than that you'd buy a sports system.

Sold it someone on the mk5 forum
Had is stolen, full system from the turbo,
God knows what a full system would be from the dealer

He had an ad in the wanted section, right place right time, he was over the moon with the deal

Mkviken The catalysts are the reason for the good price as they are worth 100→180 for scrap at EMR

I sold mine about 3 or 4 months ago for £100. to be fair tho I had no where to store it and I wasn't getting much interest. I originally wanted £200 for it, but as said it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

however, if I'd of had the storage space I would've kept it for when the car goes back to standard.

Got mine suspended to the rafters in the garage with cable ties, well out of the way and same as you ready to go back n the car when it eventually gets sold.

Nether the milltek or standard one can go if someone decides they want it. I'm not really bothered which stays on the car I just want some extra room in the shed!
