Been a while since my last post but still got the golf and still playing with it..

So here's the lady just before getting tucked up for winter running just above 300bhp.

Seems to spend all it's time on these ramps, checked all around car to see if anything fitted last year had moved or needed attention.

New water pump and oil pick up pipe and few other parts in there too..

After a full day of prep the car was undersealed.

Re-sprayed the front bumper again to get rid of stone chips... Damn motorway driving!

Car looking perfect and mint again.

With a brand new gt28rs and mani sitting next year should be filled with shows and cruises whilst I get the bottom end I purchased that was 1/2 finished completed. I have asked the friend building to take pics so should see a build progress.

Out ye come little engine, think Jamie's getting the hang of taking the engine out been a few times now.

Why hide the turbo away down behind the engine when you can have it up here???

Lots going on at the moment but no time to post.

Seriously starting to worry about this summer and thinking about what power to settle at with the standard AUQ internals .... 300 was my bench mark and then going to get the forged bottom end in next winter, but with 350+ as an option with the new turbo should I try it out?

Anyone willing to donate some second hand forged rods for the cause

I have a full kit to do the bottom end but wasn't wanting too much this time round, main worry is that with the lack of logged trials with the big turbos it's hard to choose a "safe" power. This is mainly due to all the bottom end parts being inconsistent and not straining the same with some users failing at low end power.

I will try to put some sort of answer together for this once all is up and running I have asked r-tech for there input and I have pm'd a few users.

is there any point when you know you cant really use the power for fearing it will blow up  :undecided: why not just do it right 1st time
