Creaking / Cluncking noise
« on: 05 June 2010, 22:45 »
i have heard of a few peeps on here complaining of a noise coming from the door lock area
Anybody shed any light on this problem or had a fix done by the dealers

I am taking my car in for service next week and was going to mention it to them, is it the striking pin that just needs adjustment ??

It seems VW know about this and some have had this sorted.
There was a Mk6 in today at my VW service dept for this same problem, though I don't know the outcome as I am not a nosy parker!
I think Gizzy is going to get her knocking door lock sorted by VW.

Now what about my problem, please?
The clonking centre armrest. Bloody annoying.

Mine is going in on Monday for them to have a look at the door lock.

Will post on their findings and solutions.

It clunks when I put my arm on it.
I know exactly where it is coming from but cannot cure it myself. It is a loose runner. I'll try some WD40 tomorrow.
