Hi all,
This simple post tells you how to code out the auto rear wiper when reverse is engaged.
Please forgive the long post for a simple task but it's so anyone can do it
You will need VAG COMM or similar.
1.Open VCDS and selcet Select Control Module. Next Select Cent. Elect.

3. Once open goto line 3 then goto BYTE 21 on line 3 and and click it - It will turn yellow

4. Look at the options on the lower left and click Bit 6 i.e. UNTICK IT

Then it will look like this, click EXIT and hit DO IT - job done ;-)

Nice one... thanks.
That bloody rear wiper drives me nuts, so I'll be turning it off this weekend when there's some daylight for a few hours!
It looks like I might turn bit2 and bit3 off too - as I'd rather it never went off itself unless I specifically press the stalk!
-
At least you know were to look now :-)
-
I just did this to mine. Thanks for the info.
Im not sure if i need to untick bit 2 and 3 as im not sure exactly when they do.
Do they meen if you have the front wipers on the back one will go every so often?
As i never noticed it do that but mine are both ticked. Maybe bit 6 has an effect on bit 2 and 3.
Doc hows your rear wiper acting since you did the coding?
-
Rear wiper acting as normal minus the turning itself on when it's not raining.
I left bits 3 and 4 alone :-)

Thanks. I will just leave mine then
