Current error codes and things already changed
« on: 19 August 2012, 15:35 »
STILL having problems with car - when warmed up starts to misfire

2001 AUM 1.8T - Remapped

Here is a list of parts changed

4 Coil Packs on recall
4 Spark Plugs
FULL Coil Wiring Harness
MAF Sensor
N249 Deleted

(and yes i have swapped coils packs and mis fire doesnt follow the coil pack when swapped around)

And here is the lists of codes i keep getting after deleting codes twice over -

17608 - Boost Pressure Control Valve
16684 - Misfire Detected
16687 - Cylinder 3 Misfire
16384 - ??????
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Low Voltage

Anybody any ideas as i am struggling could it be a faulty MAF/MAF wiring i have disconnected the MAF (but not sure how long it has to be disconnected for to notice a difference)

HELP PLEASE

check the injector loom, and swap the injectors around to see if the misfire moves with it. if its still misfiring on cylinder 3 then its time for a compression test. if compression comes back good put the engine to TDC and see if pistons 1 and 3 are sitting at the same height. a slightly bent rod can cause these symptoms :undecided:
