Alloy wheel fitment

hey can any1 help me.. um ive just bought my golf mk4 1.8 turbo... its still got the standard bbs 16" alloys
but i wanna upgrade to 19" with 235/30 tyres. would they rub or anything?

They might rub, but it depends whether you lower the car or ot, something you will want to do really :)

The best option is 18" to be honest.  19's give too harsh a ride.

Ideally, you need 235/35 tyres for 19's, mate.  (Keeps the speedo as accurate as possible).  :afro:

hello mate

i did a remap on a guys mk4 1.8t not long ago,he had 19s on it,dont no his tyre size.he also had coilovers on the car,and it amazed me with such a good ride.and the coilovers were only cheapo 1s jamex i think.
depends what your after really.
        lots say 18s as 19s kill the ride,but they do look sweet in my eyes.
