i used a heat gun on the trims first (gently heat the plastic trim and it will start to go dark again) then use back to black over the top.hope this helps.

tbh mate your better off buying a product specificly for the job and its not as expensive as you may think,

most of the trim gels and tyre dressings range from around £12 upwoulds and if applied properly it will last you ages.

i used the boiled linseed oil a few weeks ago and mine, despite the rushed job i did, still looks black!
however, the first time i did it, i then left it in the hot sun, and it melted, lol, so when i walked past it i rubbed it off :D
so the second time i used a cheapo silicone spray like back to black over the top, which kind of sealed it on and gave the deep black a nice sheen, theres my 2ps worth, but a far better solution than the others ive tried, just a shame i got sh!t loads on the paint :(

Believe me its a dead ringer for you! Even says something stupid!

MORRISONS OWN SHOE SCUFF REMOVER. 30 odd pence and it's a miracle worker. My MK2's bumpers went from white to black in 2-3 coats, and stayed that way for around six months before fading. Even with jet washing!
