vw sharan headunit

hi all
not golf related but still a dub 

got a little problem, my uncle has a 56 plate sharan the headunit was working yesterday but needed the pin, but today it dont want to know its not turning on or anything, pressed every button but nothing, we had a look at the fuse (30) but its not popped so any ideas? its the original vw headunit, also where would we find the pin? will it be in the service book or something?

Dealers should be able to provide you with the original radio code but it should be in the service book somewhere

well we have the service book but now the dame player dont power on, before it was on and wanted the pin but not now power.
