Removing light scratches from brecias
« on: 19 July 2018, 22:36 »
I’ve got quite a few light scratches on my Brescia’s on the black part . Would some AG SRP do the trick?

SRP will just fill them and last for a couple of washes. Poorboys Black Hole (I never like asking for that. Perhaps if they called it Rich Girls Pink hole?) would do a better job, but again won't last. You need a more abrasive polish with a good degree of cut to remove them for ever.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Try something like Meguiars Ultimate Compound, on a foam pad..  Success depends how bad the scratches are. Are you talking light swirls or actual scratches?  Light swirls can be tackled by hand with some effort, but proper scratches will be more difficult and hand polishing gives limited results. If a scratch catches on your fingernail, then it won’t polish out by hand or machine, but polishing can minimise it by softening the edges etc.
