wow that really is amazing! I think a target of £5000 would have lasted the whole year, seems like £500 will be completed by tomorrow

Didnt take long!
New target or a different charity?
-
Bloody hell jv, bet you didn't expect it to fill that quick ;) make the goal £1000, or do you have to set up a new one?
-
Awesome, superb support thanks :)
The target was irrelevant really, I just had to list something.
This will run for a year as previously explained :)
-
Hope the impetus doesnt wane after reaching its initial target!
Think the target should be 5k

Good Idea Len..Lets aim for £5000..Just watching the news and there should be another trillion quid knocking around soon so lets see if we can use £5k of that to donante to a good cause and not a wBankers pocket..
-
We've broken £500 :afro:
-
I'll put some in the fund on pay day :) Some seriously generous donations guys!
-
Please note that the new Target has been raised to £2000.
Lets see if that can been reached.

Thanks for your support everyone, almost 1500 raised for Macmillan.
New charity for year 2 is HelpforHeroes, one which had a lot of mention on here previously.
Main thread updated http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=111467.0
-
that's excellent guys & JV well done! :afro:
H4H is an excellent charity and gets my full on support!
might I publicly suggest retailing the wristbands for an extortionate amount of monies... say - at least £5 or £10 each... with anyone not wearing one at a GGTi event being humiliated until they purchase one (kind of like a left handed drinking fine)
https://www.shop.helpforheroes.org.uk/products/50-x-Help-for-Heroes-Wristbands.html (https://www.shop.helpforheroes.org.uk/products/50-x-Help-for-Heroes-Wristbands.html)
it would cost £100 for 50 but could make 10x that amount  (and the £100 is already going to the charity)
-
agree with guy there!!
100% backing from me - however my contribution will have to be next month now, lol - spending too much as usuall!
great charity and well done everyone on reaching so much for macmillan!
£1000 easy ;)

Nigel, I will be doing the calendars again this year so hopefully a hefty contribution will be made from that buddy. :)

Don't be fooled into thinking this is Shady's money. He claims it as his, but it's really ours..
-
He does kinda "earn" the profit which he donates......

Help for Heroes again.
Should be testicular or prostate cancer all the time!
(sorry but got a mate in his 30's who has already had one bollock off!)

I agree 100%,
Or at least some a cancer charity like Macmillan.
The sad thing is, until someone or someone they know are diagnosed with the disease they do not realise how bad it actually is! I've been concerned about a lump on my neck for the last few months, my body doesn't feel right, I don't feel any pain but can feel lumps on my collar bone. I have had my neck scanned and I've been told it's an enlarged lympth node so nothing to worry about, however as it's on my neck I do worry about it lol. Having a bone scan next to see if these lumps I can feel are anything to worry about.
The fact is, I'm only 19 and want to live a normal life obviously hoping everything will be ok.
A guy that went to my school was 15 when diagnosed with bowel cancer, now at 18 his illness is incurable, it's rather amazing how much strength he has and his positivity while going through it all... he's now facing having to have his legs amputated but still fighting with positivity.
Sorry for the long post, hope i didn't send you all to sleep lol...
Just wanted to share my thoughts!
