Golf mk4 1.8t gear problems.
« on: 29 May 2016, 22:15 »
Hi there new to here. I bought a golf mk4 1.8t today with gear problems. The car will go into gear whilst engine isn't running. I can put it into first then turn engine on. I can then change gears with a little stiffness but if I go to neutral I struggle to put it back into first. The clutch was replaced last year, and the clutch biting point is at the very bottom. The clutch pedal is springy. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

That hammering noise towards the end of your video is quite symptomatic of DMF
