Greetings
I'm looking for the best solution restore or cover sun-damaged plastic trim around the whole car, big bumpers included.
Can anyone provide some advice on how to do this?
Many thanks

There's lots of products to treat this, hand down without a shadow of a doubt Gtechniq C4 is the best there is, Its a very tough & resistant coating too so will last a long while before re-topping up. If you cant stretch to that much then a decent tyre/trim gel would work well too if applied right. I've used Megiuars tyre gel from Halfords on trim before & it looks great.

Heat gun. Did mine over a year ago and still look as good as new

I am spraying mine with Hammerite black stonechip. I did the sills because they were a right mess, and they now have a nice matt slightly textured finish, not unlike the how the plastic trim should look.
Will provide photos once it is done.

would appreciate pictures phil star.

Gtechniq C4 is good, as is Solution Finish.

What? No one going to suggest linseed oil or peanut butter???

I used back to black and forever black to get it black again then autoglym bumper care or gtec as above to keep it good.

Try some black vinyl dye.

nowt wrong with satin black aerosol if the trims are properly prepared

Hi all, finally managed to get a test done using stonechip, very impressed with the results! Two light coats and the part looks brand new with a very subtle relief. Will be interesting to see how it stands up to being washed and how it fades in the sun. Check out these images (ignore the fingerprint in the middle it takes longer to dry than you would expect!)

probably lasts a lot longer if the car is garaged and not out so much.

Hi Phil, do you have any more photos of the car? my other half used to own it!
