i have heard of a few peeps on here complaining of a noise coming from the door lock area
Anybody shed any light on this problem or had a fix done by the dealers
I am taking my car in for service next week and was going to mention it to them, is it the striking pin that just needs adjustment ??

I had a rattle from both doors and it went into the dealers for two days. When I went to collect the car the tech who had worked on it wasn't around, so I asked for someone to call me with details of the solution. Didn't happen. Anyway, whatever they did has completely solved the problem.

No, the door locks are metal. The rest of the car is plastic.

Mine is going in on Monday for them to have a look at the door lock.

Will post on their findings and solutions.

Gizzy

Be good to know the outcome Giz as i am going in on Friday for service

Sorry Neil

Yeah well they couldn't find anything wrong and funnily enough since their fiddling around with the door it has stopped knocking so all seems to be ok for now.  Good luck with yours.
Pretty useless lot a VW garages tho cos they seem a bit clueless about their cars was mentioning about getting LEds fitted and they reckon you can't do it
