Alarm/central locking question
« on: 01 February 2017, 06:05 »
Good morrow everyone! A quick question if I may, the battery on my recently bought TDI key fob was dead, I've changed this and the key works fine however, are the indicator lights meant to flash every time I open or close the car?

Mine does, but I believe that this is a programable feature and can be changed. I'm sure that one of our resident gurus will confirm or deny that shortly.

Lights should flash

Its the chirp / beep that is programmable  :nerd:

If the indicators are not flashing you could have a faulty door module. A diagnostic scan with VCDS should reveal the source

Excellent guys thanks for that info. Do you know anyone who has VCDS in the Slough area?
