Overboost after de-cat full system?
« on: 17 January 2017, 18:52 »
Anyone ever herd of this? Since fitting my full miltek system if I drive my car really hard it go's into limp mode. Fault logged was an over boost I was chatting to a local vw guy who also dose ecu maps who said it could be a boost spike due to the free flowing exhaust.

I suffered an over boost due to a leak via my downpipe/turbo manifold.

Best check for leaks first before spending any cash.

All cleaned up and back together had to remove a lot of carbon from the inlet manifold and egr valve! Turbo vains move nice a free now also fitted a blanking plate to the exhaust manifold under the flexy pipe to the egr cooler so no crap get into the engine!
