working on my lads mk4 gti and went to replace a heavily rusted, leaking fuel filter, removed the lines by pushing the (magic) button and refitted new filter, now its pissing fuel from the front clip on line to engine bay, its clipped on and pushed in fully but fuel just leaking out of the connector, on closer inspection the grey plastic collet inside looks like its been damaged by the old rusty filter so no sealing properly.
has anyone successfully repaired a line and connector using barbed filtings and rubber hose?
are the lines still available from vw and if so anyone have part number and expected cost?
