Anyone here tried one of the blox velocity stack intakes, they look pretty huge, ideally i'd like to use it with a heatshield? Also been looking at one of the ram-air enclosed cone filters.

BLOX looks a very good piece of kit.
Wouldn't bother with the ram air. Looks restrictive. Could make the same out of your old airbox with a 3" feed from the bumper.

I'll be wrapping my heatshield in real carbon anyway

Where did you get your money tree from?

Coming to work this morning was the first time I've properly driven the car with S2000 filter on. Not sure why people are complaining about the induction noise, I'm getting very little. The d/v noise is slightly louder but not anything excessive, overall I'm very impressed with it

I was expecting it to be like an aircraft taking off lmao (from what I heard anyway )

From what I found there was no benefit of this over a heatshield and cone on the MAF, and as this is classed as a serviceable part and needs changing every 8-12k or whatever they are the cone wins
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

A quick convo via text to Nick today gave the info I need; the standard airbox gets restrictive around 230bhp so mine will be changing soon

To keep the OE look could you not just upgrade to the R32 airbox and snorkel etc? Maybe smooth this out on the inside as well.

I currently run the DSG bits and a smoothed box. I'll be keeping the snorkel etc with the S2000 filter

You might struggle for space, I had to remove my standard snorkel to get the filter in
