Title: Here's a strange question........
Post by: Vigilante on 28 June 2009, 20:06
Ok, so I've bought my first gti, an 8v to boot, and I love it to bits......  I'm not out to beat anyone to anywhere, just to have fun.....and I'm having plenty of that !
Thing is, it's been lowered on Jamex springs and shocks.....an to be honest, it's just a tad too low.
Is there any way to raise it up slightly, say 20- 25mm, without changing the springs?
I was thinking of making (I'm a machinist ) some nylon spacers to fit above the struts. Has anyone done this? I know most if not all queries relate to how to LOWER the car, but in my case I'm being awkward.

Buy new springs, dont fit spacers or anything. Just asking for trouble.

As above fit new springs or change to coilovers and pick the height you want.
