Door module unplugged. Possibly because the microswitch has gone and says the doors open all the time.
Can scan with vag com to check.
Or if you press the lock Bitton on drivers door and it locks unlocks it means door module still plugged in

In the door module, sound like its unpligged because the micro switch is gone. If you know someone with vagcom they can check that, or pull the door card off and if its unplugfed thatll be why. My passat drivers door was unplugged because of this issue and now always tells me.the door is open.
Ill one day change the microswitch. But its not a bother now

Pain to remove the lock - all else needs to be gutted first.

As for a scan with VCDS that's what I'd do as a first step too. I might be able to do for you, depending on where in the country you are.
