Nuclear bombs are something I'm endlessly facinated and repulsed by - just the sheer scale of the energy released boggles my tiny mind.

I can definitely recommend the film Trinity & Beyond if you're curious about this kind of stuff.  Makes you realise just how many damn bombs the US blew up in the name of testing, and some of the footage is truly epic (like the bombs in space, and the one underwater that was way more potent than they thought...)
