Golf Mk3-Future Classic?

Hi Also new to Golf GTI ownership as well. Picked up a very original and sound MkIII for £550 and am loving it! Bad news is; I let the wife drive it and now she wants it !!!!
Q: It needs some new front shocks. I've been told 'YRB' is the make to go for. Not sure!? I use the Fosee Way to go to work so want some 'fast road' shocks, but ones that can take some bumpy roads. Any advice please? Thanks. Mark

Anything gas filled, welcome to the fold.
If you go for uprated shocks (koni, bilstien ect)
And standard springs I dont know how the ride will be.
On mk2 ive ran boge shocks with a slight lowering spring and its been all right.
