Post by: mkviken on 11 February 2019, 21:02
I’m looking at these turbo intake elbows and ram air do one for £40 more which includes a panel filter and silicone hose from the air box to the elbow

Do these fixes pipes cause issue as the OEM one has a flexi

Cheers

I've got the Racingline hose and turbo elbow on mine. The silicone pipe flexes.

thanks did it make any noticeable difference?

i know the standard intake doesnt make much difference and the OEM flexi isnt restrictive but if paying £100 for an elbow might as well pay the extra £40 for the panel filter and hose

It does appear to pick up better when you accelerate. I did think about not getting the hose but it's the corrugated inner that disrupts air flow apparently so it was in for a penny in for a pound. I've also got a pipercross panel filter too.

Racing parts... a tenth of a second here, a tenth there.... chuck a dozen different upgrades in and you've gained a second a lap... a lifetime in racing... time taken to go get fish and chips is still the same.

There’s loads of things in life you don’t need but are nice to have.

I’m not timing myself going to chip shop it’s just tinkering

Is that remapped too?
