Title: How can I find out if my mk1 is a campaign model?
Post by: Kez on 09 June 2015, 13:55

First post :) Hello

I'm looking for help. i have a Mk1 that I'm told is a campaign, but nobody seems able to prove it.
Is there a way to tell? like a specific set of chassis numbers, etc?

Lol it is a bit. I found this page though which is a bit clearer:

So far it's looking good. My results are:

1 - yes
2 - yes
3 - doesn't appear to have green glass, but it has has a lot of work done so this could have been changed
4 - not sure as the steering wheel has been replaced
5 - yes
6 - yes
7 - yes
8 - not a clue as mine has BBs wheels
9 - yes it's helios blue
10 - I have the correct chassis number

To get a top price for it, it would be worth making it a lot more original. Depends if you have the time/effort!

Glass does look green though, so that's one more at least ;)

Do you think it's green? It's hard to tell

A few people have said it would be better with original wheels and seats, but I would be happy to sell as it is. Still a very special car with a hell of a lot of potential
