An ariel atom minus one rear wheel.

Not really new, and not really practical. Can't see it being plausible really.

It's capable of being driven on a bike licence, and I think it is going to be aimed at that market. Would make a great commuter vehicle for those in the city or a fun car for the weekend, it's not something you would use for the school run. It's in this months Top Gear magazine, at 10k again. I would defintaly have one as a second car if it came into production. Sub 6 seconds ot 60 and returning over 40MPG. .
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Don't understand why they would aim it at that market though to be honest! If you live in a city and ride a bike, its probably because you can't be arsed to sit in tarffic. You're not going to be able to carve your way through lanes of standing traffic in that are you!? Also, if it's someone commuting in it for the 40+mpg, when its cold and raining i bet they would rather have a roof and 10mpg less than be sat in traffic in that.

Having said that, i like it! Although like you say Adam, i think it would only ever be a second car, and a fun one at that with 5.7 seconds to 60!

Btw, i'm honestly not having a pop at you above, just if that is who vw is aiming it at then i think they have got it a bit wrong. But then again, maybe i have got it wrong!?
