GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

Yeah I believe it does have SMS functionality, from a previous thread:

Not sure how genuinely useful it would be to me, but if it's needed to get a heated screen, I'll need to get it.  Thing is, I plan on keeping this car for a good number of years.  At first I wasn't going to bother, but the more I think about it, the more I know I'll regret not getting a heated screen.

The phone prep probably has SMS functionality too which would be kinda cool.

The normal bluetooth has sms function, just not on the iphone as it doesn't support remote sim access (rsap)

I've been told by my VW dealer, Isaac Agnew, Belfast that my GTD should be here in July. No build week yet as VW are in the process of changing the car into a 2014 model.

I placed my order for a GTI an hour ago.  The dealer estimates "July/August" but my intuition tells me its going to be mid to end August rather than July!

On the plus side if it slips to September then it'll be on the 63 plates.

For once, plate numbers make no odds to me as I just got a private plate for my birthday!  Just hand over the certificate before they register it and I'll pick it up with them already installed.

Well despite having my order number for a week, it still hasn't appeared on the VW site as being processed.  The track orders go up to 23208600 as being processed, then any number after that is not recognised.

Well, it's been a couple of weeks now.  My order number was showing as processing, then it disappeared, then it showed as processing again, and now it has disappeared again!  I now the order is in the system and accepted by the factory because my retailer checked yesterday for me when I called about the heated screen option.
