Magifoam - Now with pics
« on: 23 February 2011, 14:22 »
I got involved with the GB over on Detailing World for the Autobrite Foam Lance. I got the Lance, 500ml of Autobrite Super Snow Foam and 5L of Magifoam for £56.99 delivered.

I gave the Magifoam a quick try this afternoon and was very impressed, initially I used 150ml of Magifoam and diluted the rest with water however I found this to be a bit thin so topped up with a little more Magifoam and even with my cheap Pressure Washer the foam was impressive.

I left it to do it's thing for 15mins or so, went out and gave it a rinse down and the result is amazing. The car was filthy before hand, and although it is my no means sparkling, the improvement is amazing. I didn't have time to then give it a full wash afterwards so I left it to dry after the rinse down, rather than risk towel drying it.

I'll get some pics up in a bit but i'd highly recommend it :afro:

Pics

Just to reiterate, this was a 100% touch free wash!

Although I didn't take a 'before' pic  this is about how dirty it was:

Here's how it looked after 5mins with the original ratio (note the Mk2 got a blast as well):

After 10 mins (I was inside with a coffee by this point)

I left the camera inside when I went out with a stronger solution so don't have any pics of the second, thicker, foaming. Here are a couple of pics after the final rinse down:

And the shot that really highlights it for me, the wheel! This was almost black with brake dust and mud before hand:

nice one Dom, it has had very good reviews on dw, i wouldnt recomend just leaving the solution sitting on the car to dry out unless i read that wrong and you rinsed it off and allowed it to dry.

lol yes microfibres are fine for buffing, if you are applying polish by hand you need an applicator pad.
