8v Performance Head and Cam

Hi There,

i have a 91 GTi 8v. I have had it for a while now and i love it, the problem i have now is that i am used to the power and would like some more.  

I have a full Magnex exhaust and a K&N 57i filter that i have created a cold air feed for. It gets plenty of cold air as i heard that the kit wasn't that good unless it had lots of cold air!

What i was planning on doing next was to get a performance cylinder head and a cam shft, i like the engines low down torque so i am not after a wild cam, just something that will enhance the characeristics of the engine. I am fortunate to live just round from C&R Enterprises and was thinking about one of their cylinder heads and a matching cam?

What i really want to know is if anybody has had one from there, or are there better ones available or other avenues i should explore without resulting in an engine transplant?

Hi I jus recently Fitted a Kent cam kit (GS2HK) in my likkle 8V rolf GTI and skimmed 20 thou of the head. I seemed to gain loads of touque an wen I threw it on the rollers at my mates place It had 104bhp at the wheels, which is apparently around 125 at the engine. Sold it now tho an the lads striped it for parts. GUTTED

It would brake my heart to sell the car then hear it has been stripped!

I have already had the head skimmed, but i am not sure how much was took off, it definately made a noticable improvement though. I just want more power now though, some people are never satisfied are they!!
