I give it a month
place your bets
I plan on keeping this, will most likely stick it in the garage over the winter months, and may even need a respray as it's a bit faded and needs respraying in parts

You say that about all your cars!

I really hope that you keep this one though, as Nige says, it's the best you've had yet :afro:

That mk2 just needs a little TLC.  She'll look after you

What mileage?  Any service history?

big worry on my mind at the moment is the passenger door is rusting and on the rear above the bumper, do i get quotes from garages or give it an attempt myself and get the whole car mopped?

not updated in a while as nothing has really happened as saving up, apart from some twonk has hit my mirror  car will be going in the garage after january and I shall have a mk3 to waft about in, whilst the mk2 will be having welding sorted, the rust all taken out and smoothed over and sprayed, then eventually garage next door at work will be happy to drop a 1.8t in it, but he wants me to go for the tt 225 engine but they're alot  and keep it looking pretty much as it is
edit, forgot that it still struggles getting into 1st gear in the mornings, drivers window opens about an inch before its too stiff to put any further down and heaters make a humming noise when on number 1 and 2, maf is now working but says i'm managing around 13mpg on a decent run, said i was getting 16mpg to blackpool yet from £65 i got 350 miles

Plans have changed, never finding time to sort it out and done a list of what I wanted doing and 4k to be how I want it to be was putting me off so unfortunately a friend came and bought it for not far off what I paid for it and I've swapped the coilovers over onto the vr6

Bit of a thread revival, after owning the a3 for 2 years, I'm still missing this mk2, if anybody knows it whereabouts or where to look, would be much appreciated
