I know this is more photshop than photography but was playing around with some snaps of my car this morning and ended up wit this simple thing which I quite like and think is quite snazy :)

That makes my eyes go funny!
Nice though.

Here's a few of mine.

Bob what settings are the 'manual mode' to get the light effects?? they look great
I think it was ISO 100, 15 second shutter, f5.6, and I set the timer to 10 seconds.

Clicked shoot, ran in front of the camera, and used my iPhone to make the pretty colours!

Excellent pics Nick :) Is that the super cheap Canon 50mm 1.8? Got mine for £45 and it's fantastic for the price!!

Those kitten pictures are bloody good. Any tips/EXIF data on how to achieve them?

Yeah that's the lens fella. They seem to have gone up in price though as I hunted around and could only get it for £70 delivered.

Look em up on my flickr for the exif data on the kitten shots, I can't remember the settings off hand.

800 ISO, 1/30th second at 1.8

How did you manage to get such a crisp focused shot of the cat at 1/30? Especially that they don't stay perfectly still!
