Missing phone button on steering wheel

Hi there, picked up my new GTI on Friday - what an amazing machine!

Just one thing that puzzles me... I can't seem to find a phone button on the steering wheel? If it's not there, how am I expected to answer and hang up phone calls? Don't tell me I'm supposed to touch the screen?   

Checked the manual nothing there - the steering wheel in the manual is a completely different one, and shows the phone button intact.

Hi Jim - it totally would... if it was there!

Mine looks a bit different to yours - the button you've circled is the little person speaking (siri) button, which works to active siri when Carplay is active. The one underneath says.. can't remember, as I'm away from the car now. VIEW (??) It seems to change options on the MFD

No little telephone button.

A Siri button on the driving wheel would drive me bonkers.

The "person speaking" button you can see on the image above... its under the telephone button...

Its used for either VW voice control (if fitted) and/or Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Can't you answer or end a call with the OK button? From what I remember, the Phone button is a shortcut to the phone menu (also accessed via the left-right buttons) which just so happens to answer a call as well.

Yes, think OK answers it as well.

The phone button just brings up the phone menu.... which you can get to by going left and right anyway.

It was changed for cars delivered from July 2018 onwards. Wheel now look like this:

What does the view button do? Toggle the modes of the AID?
