GTI PERFORMANCE
« on: 15 December 2018, 10:42 »
With the Mk8 coming next year and the Gti expected early 2020 when would you expect to see further discounts or specification enhancements or better finance/PCP deals  on the MK 7.5 GTI
I would like to change my wife’s 2016 GTD in June 2019 but think I might have to hold off until later in the year to see if there are even better deals than the current 15% discount I’m seeing.
Won’t be going mad on spec just Brecias, keyless and a rear camera will be all that’s needed
Dealer advises that a current lead time of 3 months is possible now that the WLTP is sorted - is this realistic

Any input appreciated
Cheers

Hi

I was advised that there is a 2%+ price increase on the 19th Dec 18? so any extra discount may only include this if you was to wait.

We order on 24/11/18 with a build week of 21/01/19 so we expect it to be delivered mid to late Feb with a March reg So about 3 months.

Paid £27859 inc a £1500 FDA for an order of £33272 so circa 16.3% discount, hoping for an increased FDA in Q1 to £2000 but we think thats more likely to come in Q2, but fingers crossed.....

2019 MK7.5 GTi PP, 3dr, DSG, Indium Grey, Heated screen, Pan roof, 90% tints.

Would you know what sort of discount can be had without finance? I got 12%, wonder if I could have got a little more.i also note that the configurator now quoting price without delivery fees, presumably in anticipation of a price rise

The discounts tend to be lower these days if you pay straight cash, as you don't qualify for the deposit contribution. Best to take out the finance and then clear it immediately upon receiving your car.

Thanks. I suppose that’s one reason why almost all discussion is about finance deals

Did that with this this car and also my own Clubsport S
Wonder how long they will continue to allow this to happen as it seem even from posts on here a lot of people do this

Prices always go up at Christmas time.

The VWFS deposit contribution bounces up and down from a pathetic £500 right up to I believe £2000. Just depends on how hard they are trying to win business at that moment in time...

I've been told today all GTI variants will increase by £690???

Have VW had another price increase this year already, as just over 2% seems relatively low to me?
