Never understood the craze about waze, just another more or less useless sat nav app.

If it was only running on partially eaten apples I wouldn't change to another phone just for it.

Going to try Waze, but is there anything else freed up by the update to iOs12?

I'm interested in this feature

How does it work? Is it just common mobile speed camera sites? Does it include locations for GATSOs and the average speed cameras?

I can get all the speed cameras on the native VW satnav but it has a tendency to take me off a motorway to go straight back on at the same junction

Its everything!

Waze hazard data is user driven.... you spot something, you hit a button to mark it and then everyone knows where something is.

For permanent speed cameras, they are static - if you mark one that's not there, it needs others to report it before it becomes a permanent fixture.

I tell you, its an awesome system, really, really good.

Its free, why not try it when you can.
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro

Gotta agree, by far the best and most upto date sat nav from all the ones I've tried.

I'll use it for all journeys, even if I know exactly where I'm going for the alerts. The traffic data also comes "live" from the other Waze users, so as long as it's a popular route, I expect that is also more accurate than other sat navs.

Never understood the craze about waze, just another more or less useless sat nav app.

Have you actually tried it, sounds like you haven't.

Installed the latest IS0 12.0 today, plugged my phone it into my car but no waze on the CarPlay screen?

Do I need to make any adjustments to any settings?
