I'd invest in some more outlandish rimmage.

I know you've been secretly spying on some Rotiform BRU's!
Three spokes do look mint on mk5s. I was looking at some Saab 3 spokes and Advans before getting the Skodas :lipsrsealed:

More talk on three spokes, that's a couple of threads on here now... Did I bring them back into fashion!?

Yes, yes you did
The mk5 is booked into my local vw specialist for Tuesday. Helpers coming out, aiming for another 20mm drop  :lipsrsealed:
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Left the car with my local VW specialists today. Came back after work and it was at the same height as this morning. "Uh oh" I thought, expecting catastrophic news about something broken that needs sorting. I received much worse news. It turns out I CAN'T go any lower up front because the coils don't have helpers  :lipsrsealed: It uses a progressive spring up front and no helpers and I'm already dropped all the way down. I had no idea  When I got the coils I stuck my head in the box, saw four struts, a bunch of springs, some bump stops and thought "Perfect!". I left it to the guys in the garage to fit, they fit without any hassle, "Perfect!". I never even thought of checking if it was a spring+helper or a single progressive spring because I'm a bellend  :embarassed: They lowered the back another 5mm to even out the stance a bit but there was nothing moving up front.
So where to go from here? I could get shorter springs up front, but can you buy shorter progressive springs? And if so, can you specify spring rates so that it matches the spec of the strut? Maybe AP sell different spec springs that could work  :undecided:.
I could save money for ages and get a bags-over-coils setup  :lipsrsealed: but this is expensive and to be honest I'm hoping to get a different car this time next year, so it wouldn't be worth the investment.
So at the end of the day I have no new pictures and no moar lows. sh!te  :undecided: Well at least I have another ~13mm of lowering out back if I want to reverse rake like a mofo

Can you get aftermarket top mounts? I know you can get mk3 ones which lower by 10mm but don't know about the newer stuff? Could always cut a coil if it bothers you that much. Or just save for bags for your new car.

What're you thinking of getting?
Project longterm Airbanger.
