my next GTI 7.5 Upgrade....front brakes...
« on: 07 June 2018, 14:57 »
So now I'm thinking about my next upgrade  :grin:

I'm done some research on brake upgrades, and my plan is to get Aston Martin DB9 calipers, which are the same as fitted to the Audi TT RS, made by Brembo, and also genuine Clubsport S disc's.

Vagbremtechnic do a kit with all these parts, and the special caliper carrier, new braided brake lines and Mintex pads for £1363 inc vat.

I think that's a good price, for Brembo / OEM parts.

The Clubsport S disc's are .9 kg lighter than stock discs so that's another unsprung weight saving.

The only thing is, I wasn't sure what I think about having the Aston Martin logo on the calipers ?? Thinking about it though it's kinda cool  :cool:

You could always paint out the Aston Martin logo and consider replacing with a set of these;
