COLD START VALVE NOT WORKING

I have a 1985 8V which runs perfectly once it is warmed up but the Cold Start Valve (CSV) does not appear to be working.
I have followed the Haynes Manual instructions to test it and the Thermotime Switch(TtS).
When I connected a lamp across the CSV connector it fails to light.
On checking the green/white wire from the TtS to the CSV for continuity there is no connection.
Does this mean there is a break in the wiring loom?
Any suggestions please.

Don't know k-jet at all but using the Haynes manual look up the wiring diagrams. Find out where the other end of the wire is and then do a continuation check on those wires. If you get a buzz then the wiring I fine.

I have checked the wire shown in the Haynes Manual - no connection.   
I would have thought a break in the loom unlikely looking at the condition of my car.
I could try to put in a direct wire from the Thermotime switch to the CSV but I wanted to avoid
cutting in to the wires if I could.

Might be easier to do a good inline splice shortly after the ecu end of the wire (guessing here to where it goes) and then pull through some new wire and try that.
